Benazir approves PPP officials replacement

ATTOCK: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairwoman Benazir Bhutto has approved the replacement of Attock district information secretary.

According to party sources, the decision was taken in a Punjab Executive Committee meeting. They said that three names from each district had been discussed in the recently held meeting of provincial information secretaries chaired by Punjab Information Secretary Farzana Raja.

In Attock, Farrukh Bokhari replaced Nawaz Malik and in Sahiwal, Azhar Kahloon replaced Syed Raghib Ali Shah.

Sources said that changes had been made only in districts where the party felt its information secretaries were not working properly.

The changes, they said, had been made to accelerate the party’s media campaign in order to secure more seats in the province in the upcoming elections.
