FATEHJANG: The Asian Development Bank will provide Rs250
million to provide clean drinking water to the residents of the city.
This was stated by Tehsil Nazim Sardar Zaheer Khan, while talking to mediapersons here.
He said the residents had been denied the clean water for long time but
the present government would make all efforts to provide the same to
them.
The water problem has turned acute due to increase in population of the
city and the new scheme would cater to the needs of the residents, he
added.
He said the TMA had purchased 30-kanal land for installation of filtration plant at Shah Pur Dam.
The project will be completed in few months. Old pipe lines in the city
will be replaced by new ones and a water tanker will also be
constructed at Chassan Wali Dheri, he said.
