3 kidnappers arrested, body recovered
 
ATTOCK: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police have arrested three persons who allegedly kidnapped a man from the limits of Industrial Area police station and later killed him.

The police have also recovered the body of kidnapped person Umer Naeem, 27, son of Altaf Hussain, from Attock.

According to a press statement, Naeem had been kidnapped along with his car (IDG-318) on April 21 when he was coming home after dropping his father at his office in Industrial Area.

When Naeem did not return home his father lodged a case with the Industrial Area police station. On the direction of Acting Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Moeen Masood the case was transferred to CIA police.

CIA police chief Bashir Ahmad Noon constituted a team, which after investigation arrested Raja Muhammad Zafar, resident of Rawalpindi, Lal Gulab, resident of Akora Khattak and Jamseed Nawaz, resident of Attock. During investigation they confessed to kidnapping and killing of Naeem.

On the information provided by the accused, police recovered body of the deceased from a deep ditch in the limits of Jand police station (Attock).

Police after postmortem have handed over the body to his relatives. Police have also obtained three days physical remand of the accused from a local court and further investigation is underway.
