Govt firm to provide relief to masses: minister
 
FATEHJANG: Minister of State for Defence Production, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has said that all resources are being utilised to provide relief to common man.

Addressing a big gathering on Saturday at Sad Kal Sharif after the inauguration of power supply project, which was completed at a cost of Rs500,000 to facilitate the people of the area, he said that Pakistan People’s Party led government was working for the welfare of the poor masses. He added that all out efforts were being made to provide basic amenities of life to the people of remote and neglected areas.

He said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had great regards for religious scholars and saints and she often visited to such places to pay homage to them. He said that ‘Sufis’ and ‘Aulia-e-Karam’ had played vital role in promoting peace, brotherhood, and harmony among the people of sub-continent. Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Zaheer Khan thanked the minister for taking keen interest for providing electricity to the people living around the ‘Baba Lal Shah’ and Baba Bolay Shah and its adjacent areas.

Later, while talking to this agency the minister urged the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to join hands with government to overcome law and order related issues.

He said if the PML-N did not join the federal government, then the PPP would sit on the opposition benches in the Punjab and play constructive role as opposition.
