PML(N) leadership played key role in making country a nuclear power: Sheikh Aftab

Aftab Ahmed has said the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League PML (N)
Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif had made the country a real
nuclear power in the world.
During the PML(N) tenure in 1999, Pakistan successfully carried out
nuclear explosions despite the foreign pressure, he added. These views
were expressed while addressing a public gathering held at the
residence of the prominent socio-political figure, former Chairman
Markaz Council Attock Major (R) Qazi Naseem Razaaq in Gondal Mandi.
He said the India was aware of the fact the Pakistan could not be kept
in war like situation on the pretext of the Mumbai attacks. Sheikh
Aftab said that Mian Nawaz Sharif has been striving to protect the
democratic institutions and ameliorate the living standards of the its
people. He said his political opponents misled the people of his
constituency NA-57 by inaugurating a number of infeasible development
projects of supply of Sui Gas, Electricity during the election campaign
which were left unattended after the general elections. He said
grant of Rs.180 millions has been approved by the Chief Minister Punjab
Mian Sharif.
Sheikh Aftab said, the issues of construction of underpass, road lights
along the GT road Gondal Mandi would also be discussed with the
Chairman, NHA. He said people have mandated him to fulfill his
political commitments in a fair and transparent manner.
