| Three SHOs served notices |
ATTOCK: The district Police officer (DPO) Fakhar Sultan Raja on
Friday issued show cause notices to the SHOs of three police stations
of Attock city, Pindgheb and Basal.
The SHOs Inspector Shaukat Shah, Inspector Malik Saad and Inspector Muhammad Khan have been asked to explain as to why they have failed in arresting the proclaimed offenders (POs) and other wanted criminals.
In a press release, the district police headquarters said that besides law and order the performance of all 14 police stations in December was reviewed at a monthly meeting.
The performance of five police stations of Attock Sadder, Hazro, Rangu, Hasanabdal city, Attock Khurd was found satisfactory. SHOs of Hasanabdal Saddar , FatehJhang, Bahtar, Jand and Injra Police stations were directed to improve their efficiency and working capability to ensure arrests of POs, absconders and elimination of gambling, drug and prostitution dens.
The DPO also directed the DSP, Organized Crime cell to chalk out a proper strategy to eliminate the untraced gangs of criminals, who were involved and wanted in various heinous crimes in different police stations of the district.
The DPO told the meeting that he had set elimination of gambling, drug and prostitution dens as prime tasks for the respective police stations but they could not produce results as pubic complaints are still being received in this regard.
However, the DPO expressed the hope that all Police stations will give better results in this connection till the next monthly meeting on crime situation.
