FATEHJANG: The unavailability of fertilizer belies the
government’s claims to have made all-out efforts to make the country
self-sufficient in wheat, as farmers are running from pillar to post in
search of urea.
This was stated by nazim union council Shahrah-i-Sadullah Sardar Tariq
Mahmood Majia while talking to media persons.
In the Attock district, he added, wheat had been cultivated on 419,000
acres and the demand for urea in the tehsils of Fatehjang, Jand and
Pindigheb was about 100,000 bags.
