Hasanabdal: Anti-corruption Department Attock, has arrested Tehsil Officer
(I&S) for taking bribe. Safdar Zaman resident of Sultanpur
Hasanabdal informed Circle Officer anti-corruption that TMA officer
Chaudhry Muhammad Irfan was demanding Rs7,000 as bribe for returning
his security fee, which had deposited with TMA Hasanabdal.
The
circle officer Raja Muhammad Fazil and Judicial Magistrate Attock,
Saleem Iqbal while taking action on the complaint arrested the said
officer red handed and recovered the spotted currency notes from his
possession. A case has been registered against him under the relevant
act.
Complaints of substandard CNG increase
Hassanabdal: People using CNG-run vehicles have complained against
shortage of the fuel in the towns of Taxila, Wah and Hassanabdal.
They also said that the owners of CNG stations were not compressing the
gas according to the standards, thus reducing the vehicles’ mileage and
increasing their fuel budget.
Lawyers vow to continue struggle
HASANABDAL: The lawyers’ fraternity of Attock had a brilliant history
of sacrifices and they were being struggling for the restoration of the
deposed judges including Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.
Sheikh
Ahsan-ud-Din, a senior advocate, Finance Secretary, Supreme Court Bar
and former president Attock District Bar Association said this while
addressing a fare well dinner arranged in honour of outgoing District
and Session Judge Attock Mohammad Tariq Abbasi. The
function was arranged by the newly elected body of Hasanabdal Bar
Association.
The outgoing District and Session Judge in his
address said that Attock district is a traditional distract and has
its own moral values. He enjoyed the love affections and cooperation
not only of the lawyers but of a common man also which will ever be
remembered.î
He said that while imparting judgment he always
remained afraid of Almighty Allah and sought His guidance for
announcing the judgment.

One person shot and injured by his brother
Hassan abdal: One person shot and injured by his brother over a land dispute.
Zawar Ali Shah told Hassanabdal Saddar police that he was traveling with his friends in a car when his brother, Amjid Ali, allegedly attacked the vehicle near Khatrah village. As a result, he sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The motive behind the attack was stated to be a land dispute.

شناخت کیلئے تحصیل ہسپتال میں رکھ دی۔تفصیلات کے مطابق گذشتہ روز دوپہر کے
قریب طارق اور فقیر محمد نامی افراد نے بس سٹاپ کے پیچھے واقع جھبلائٹ
پانی کے قریب باغ میں ایک نامعلوم عورت کی چادر میں لپٹی لاش دیکھ کر
مقامی پولیس کو اطلاع دی۔ لاش ایک قریباََ ۲۳ سالہ نوجوان لڑکی کی تھی جس
کے گلے میں چادر کا پھندہ موجود تھا۔ ابتدائی ڈاکٹری رپورٹ کے مطابق لڑکی
کی موت گلے میں موجود پھندے کی وجہ سے واقع ہوئی تھی۔نین نقش سے لڑکی کسی
گاوں کی دیکھتی ہے۔ تھانہ سٹی حسن ابدال میں مقدمہ درج کرتے ہوئے نعش کو
تحصیل ہسپتال میں شناخت کے لئے رکھا گیا ہے مگر رات گئے تک لڑکی کے وارثوں
کا پتہ نہ چل سکا۔
Obituary
Hasanabdal: A reputed transporter of Rawalpindi Division Naik Sher Afzal Khan died of heart failure on Sunday. His funeral will be taken out from his residence near Convent High School GT Road Hasanabdal and will be offered at Masjid Gulzar-e-Madina opposite Tehsil Headquarters Hospital at 2:30pm today (Monday). The deceased was the brother of Changez Khan, President Markazi Seerat Committee, Dilawar Khan and Afsar Khan.
Harmony during Ashura assured
HASANABDAL: The Tehsil Municipal Officer Sajid Ali Khan convened a
joint meeting of Anjuman Imamia and Jamaat Ahle Sunnah at his office. The elders and the office bearers from both the sides
participated.
Inspector city police station briefed the
participants regarding the importance of the security during the
Aushura and asked the administration of Anjuman Imamia to depute their
own security people as well in addition to the local police so that
they would identify the participants of the Majalis and the processions
to be taken out during those days.

Markazi Jamia Masjid on behalf of the Sunni sect assured the SHO for
extending every possible cooperation to maintain peace in the city and
added that the city would Inshallah maintain its tradition of sectarian
harmony during the Muharram.

follow the instructions laid down by the government in the very good

New budget approved for Cadet College Hassan Abdal
Hassan Abdal: The Cadet College Hassan Abdal Board of Governors (BoG)
approved a budget of Rs 210 million for the year of 2008-09 in a meeting at the Governor’s House.
Governor Salmaan Taseer
presided over the meeting. It constituted a three-member Finance
Committee to carry out a detailed audit of expenses incurred on capital
purchases. It also examined the pace of work on a Rs 170 million
expansion project.
Changes: The BoG also decided to increase the
monthly tuition fee, hostel fee and mess dues of 540 college students
by 25 percent. The governor ordered the college authorities to launch
A-level classes for those students who had qualified for O-level
examination from the same college. He also issued orders to allocate a
10 percent quota for deserving students from Balochistan and the Tribal
Areas after an entry test.
The governor ordered an amendment in
the College Foundation Ordinance of 1966 to introduce the college’s own
pay scale for its teachers. The board also decided to

medical college would be setup in the Nawaz Sharif Social Security
Hospital (SSH), by the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution
(PESSI), which will start functioning from next academic session. Approval
in this regard was granted during the PESSI governing board meeting
presided over by Punjab Minister for Labour Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sohna. Chairman PESSI Imran Nasir Khan, representatives
of health, finance, labour & industries departments and other board

Social Security Medical College will have 100 seats in the medical
section and 25 seats in the dental section out of which 25 will be
