Adil betters 50M record in Olympics swimming qualifier
Hassanabdal: Pakistan’s men swimming wild-card entry Adil Baig bettered his own national record in 50 meter freestyle heats in the swimming competition of XXIX Olympic Games 2008 at National Aqautics Club on Thursady.
25-year-old Adil from Hassanabdal, appearing in his first
Olympics, covered the distance in 20.25 seconds to improve his personal national record.
Talented Adil from Pakistan Army finished seventh in the heat in the eight man field.
Adil Baig, who had represented Pakistan in world championship in Melbourne will taking part in 100M freestyle on Friday.
