ATTOCK: The elder brother of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA)
general secretary was killed in an ambush near Motorway Chowk on
Wednesday, police said.
The Tarnol Police have taken up the case but failed to hunt the assailants till filing of this report.

Yar Muhammad Awan, the elder brother of Muhammad Siddique Awan, general
secretary of the LHCBA, was coming to Islamabad from Fatehjang on
Wednesday morning when a group of gunmen started indiscriminate firing
at his car (LZF-6712) on Dhoke Malharan-Bhadana Link Road, police said.
The
Tarnol Police said that at about 9:30 a.m, they received information
that a person was lying in a pool of blood in a car. A police team
rushed to the scene and shifted the dead body to the Pakistan Institute
of Medical Sciences where doctors confirmed his death.
Police handed over the dead body to his relatives after postmortem, which was later taken to Fatehjang for burial.
