This was stated by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Attock Captain Saqib Zafar (Retd) during the inauguration ceremony of Monsoon Plantation Campaign held here at Teenmeela chowk. The officials of Agriculture, Forest and other government departments were also present on the occasion.

The DCO said, this year monsoon arrived much earlier, therefore tree plantation campaign is being started in the month of July instead of August. He said that the district government Attock has set the target of 150 plants per acre for the current tree plantation campaign, which would be achieved 100 percent due to suitable weather. Earlier, Captain Saqib planted a sapling at Teenmeela chowk here to kick-off the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign at the district. Meanwhile, the National Database & Registration Authority (Nadra) claimed successful completion of its Monsoon Tree Plantation drive at the Attock district.

Nadra Attock Manager, Muhammad Rizwan-ul-Haq Khan said here that hundreds of saplings of different kinds of trees have been planted at all the six tehsils of the district - Attock, Hazro, Fateh Jhang, Jand, Hasanabdal and Pindigheb. He said that tree plantation campaign was launched at the district on the directive of Chairman Nadra, which has been completed successfully with the collaboration of District Administration and Forest Department Attock.
