ATTOCK: People expressed their dissatisfaction over the relief announced in the annual budget. Most of the people said that 20 per cent salary raise is not enough to face the current wave of inflation. No relief to common man in the budget, this is a budget of rich people, said a dejected old man while talking to this correspondent.

One Muhammad Younas who sells newspapers said that how could he consider this budget a good one as prices of flour, sugar, ghee and pulses had not been reduced. Muhammad Tahir who is a daily wages worker said 20% increase in salaries had no meaning for him. One Slaeem who works at a garments shop said that govt must ensure minimum salary of Rs 6,000 for worker. A pensioner Nawaz Khan said that 20% increase in pension was good one. A widow Farriha Bibi welcomed the decision of the govt for announcing minimum pension Rs2,000 as she was earlier receiving only Rs900 a month.

Ghulam Hussain who is in his early 40s said that it would prove a good budget if govt ensures the people that there would be no mini budget in future.
