Hassanabdal: The 402nd death anniversary of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, who is fifth Guru of Sikhism was observed at Gurdwara Punja Sahib, Hassanabdal on Tuesday. The Sikh religious rituals were concluded with ‘Bhog’ ceremony. More than 600 Indian Sikh Yatrees converged on Punjab Sahib for the ceremonies. After the ceremonies, the yatrees will leave for Lahore by a special train after performing their religious rites later on Tuesday.
On this occasion, party leader Sarman Gurdwara Parband Committee Amritsar Ludhiana Sardar Ghabhir Singh said that a warm welcome was accorded to the Sikh Yatrees on their arrival from India and thanked the government and people of the area for their hospitality.
He expressed complete satisfaction over government arrangements made for upkeep of Gurdwara Punja Sahib, one of the holiest temples of the Sikh religion.
He asked for further visa condition relaxation by both India and Pakistan so that Sikh Yatrees coming to Pakistan and Muslim Pilgrims going to India to visit Shrine must be made easy.Sardar Ghabhir Singh also hailed the arrangements made by Government of Pakistan for providing maximum facilities to Sikh Yatrees during their stay in Pakistan.
The party leader said that ongoing peace process between India and Pakistan should be intensified and all disputes should be resolved through peaceful means.

On this occasion, Sardar Balbir Singh, Sardar Kashmir Singh and Sardar Sarjeet Singh thanked government of Pakistan for constructing new blocks at all Gurdwaras. The step, they said, has resolved accommodation problem being faced by Sikh Yatrees. They also appreciative of the government for taking good care of their gurdwaras in Pakistan.
