ATTOCK: The formation of the Communist Lawyers Forum was publicly announced by the Central Chairman of the Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP), Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik here today.The Communist Lawyer’s Forum will struggle for the speedy justice and for the restoration of all deposed judges and for the independence of judiciary, says the press release issued by Communist Party Secretariat.
He will soon announce the name of the Convener of the Communist Lawyer’s Forum from amongst those lawyers, who believe in the communist and socialist ideology.
Engineer Jameel said that our Party is well aware that the lawyers who believe in the communist and socialist ideology are fighting individually against the military dictatorship and for the restoration of all deposed judges and for the independence of the judiciary since long but now a time has come that collective efforts from the platform of Communist Lawyers Forum be launched for achieving all those noble objectives.
The CPP had also earlier resolved to support the lawyers’ movement and long march for the restoration and independence of the judiciary and with the help of the left political workers, the Communist Lawyers Forum can easily achieve its goal.
“We have endorsed the lawyers’ movement and long march in the best national interest,” the CPP Chairman said.
The other major objective of the Communist Lawyers Forum be and is that Pervaz Musharraf and its other companions should be tried and punished under Article 6 for taking unconstitutional steps like imposition of emergency on Nov 3, 2007, sacking of 60 superior judges and then unlawfully detaining them with their families in their houses for more than five months, the press release vehemently concluded with these remarks.
