18 policemen suspended for having ‘bad reputation’
ATTOCK: Eighteen policemen of Attock Khurd, Khushal Gharh check posts and Police Station Injara, Attock, have been suspended on the charges of bad reputation.
DIG Rawalpindi Nasir Khan Durrani suspended these cops after it was brought into his notice that these officials are involved in illegal activities and extorting money from commuters.
It was learnt through the service record of officials that they had been manoeuvring postings to Police Station Attock Khurd and Check Post Khushal Garah through political influence for ulterior motives. Their average stay in these two places had been around 6 to 7 years. In view of this all these officials have been suspended and served with show cause notices.
