 ATTOCK KHURD: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Nasir Khan Durrani suspended one Sub-Inspector (SI) and three Head Constables of Attock Khurd Police Station taking serious notice of the road corruption on GT Road and also ordered for registration of criminal cases against them.

According to details, on receipt of information that checking staff of Attock Khurd Police Station had seized narcotics but were bargaining with the culprits.

After receiving the information, DIG Nasir Khan Durrani asked Ataf Ikram, ASP/SDPO Hazro to hold an immediate enquiry. As per enquiry report information was found correct.

Consequently, Nasir Khan Durrani placed SI Muhammad Sher and Head Constable Sajawal Shah of Attock Khurd Police Station under suspension and ordered for registration of a criminal case against them.

Criminal case has been registered accordingly. DPO Attock has also been asked to complete departmental action against them within 10 days.

On another information that staff of Police Post Gondal had seized trucks containing wheat bags, planned to be smuggled to the Frontier province, but later on were released after receiving heavy amount of illegal gratification.

The DSP (Highway Patrolling) Hafeez Ahmad Aulok also got this information and immediately reached the spot, where trucks were parked. On this the trucks were impounded and case was registered accordingly.

This complaint was also assigned to Ataf Ikram ASP/SDPO Hazro and was asked to hold an enquiry.

The enquiry officer confirmed the allegations and reported that one of the accused had also escaped from the scene with the connivance of the local police.

The DIG, Nasir Khan Durrani, placed Head Constable Mehrab Khan and Head Constable Sajjad Ahmad of Gondal Police Post under suspension and also ordered for registration of criminal case against them. A criminal case has been registered accordingly.
