| Sikh Yatrees arrive Pakistan for Besakhi festival |

participate in three days of Besakhi festival starting on Saturday.8000 of Yatrees are Pakistani Sikhs, 3000 are Indian and over 500 belong to other countries.
Evacuee Trust made elaborate arrangements to facilitate these yatrees during their stay at their holy site. Protocol officer of the Trust Fraz Abbas accompanied Indian Sikhs to oversee their needs.
Leaders of Indian delegation Sardar Baldev Singh, Sardar Jagir Singh, Jagjeet Singh Bhullar and Sardar Sawarn Singh expressed their complete satisfaction over the arrangements and thanked the Pakistani government for taking care of their religious sites.
During their three days stay at Hasanabdal, yatrees will perform their religious rituals which will come to a close on April 14 with the ceremony of “Bhoog”.
Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs Ch. Ahsan Iqbal will be the chief guest at the concluding ceremony after which all yatrees will travel to Lahore on special trains.
District and tehsil administration have made stringent security arrangements to facilitate the yatrees.
