Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry stated this while addressing at Peshawar Bar after administering oath to the newly elected office-bearers of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA) on Saturday.

He thanked High Court Judges for giving warm welcome on his arrival in Peshawar.

He pointed out that the developed and strong country needed such constitution which could not be violated any one, adding that the empowerment of judiciary is must to ensure the implementation of the constitution and law as it could play vital good governance.

Justice Iftikhar Chuadhry noted that there was need of complete implementation for the good governance which could not be violated any one.

He said the good governance is necessary for strong economy and progress and protection of basic human rights and an independent of judiciary and rule of law is basic needs of the good governance.

The CJ suggested that political, economic and social freedoms were must for the development of the country, adding that the changes rules should be transparence to improve the masses trust in the government.

He said that being as CJ he will only discuss matters pertinent to his profession.

Justice Iftikhar was warmly welcomed by Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Justice Tariq Pervez and Justice Shah Jahan on his arrival to Peshawar HC.

Earlier, the convoy of Justice Iftikhar was warmly received by a large number of people when it entered in Peshawar. The convoy had left Islamabad residence of Chief Justice at 8:30 am this morning for the NWFP capital.

The workers of Jamat Islami welcomed the convoy at Golra More on Peshawar road with flower petals. The members of Islamabad and Rawalpindi Bar Associations and Muslim League (N) women workers received the convoy at Motorway Interchange.
