Movement of restoration of rule of law and revival of justice is an unprecedented move, sacrifices made by Chief Justice, judges, lawyers, journalists, politicians and general public for the sake of this movement are uncountable.
This movement is still in progress with the sympathies of hundred thousand of peoples around the country. It is a fact that it is not a political movement and all those who put it in motion are belongs to educated class of society, as such majority of its supporters are very well aware of results and consequences of this movement under prevailing circumstances.
Above movement could be defined as a battery of a car, which helps to start engine and later whole role, is taken over by engine (politicians).
Before the start of this movement many other movements were already on ground, like anti-Mush, anti-dictatorship, peoples against role of army in politics, state terrorism, war on terror and other human right movements.
Nucleus of each movement was to establish rule of law, restoration of democratic culture and opposition to madness of Mush on the name of war on terror. All such movements were preparing grounds for national politicians to come forward and take control of the parliament and administration of the country.
Constitution was made a joke by every day amendments and presidential orders, political orphans and corrupt politicians, thousand of Army Officers on civilian posts, flow of free money, brutalities of government intelligence and security agencies, puppet judiciary and parliament, all such elements were enough to declare Mush as fascist dictator.
Arrival of Benazir brought some hopes for all victimized corners, in spite of her doubtful personality during last many months, her statements and approach to pose as darling of Anglo-Americans, every body assured her that this is a historical moment to take advantage of situation where a lot of ground work on international and national level was already carried out by above movements, but it couldn’t be happened.
Role of politicians and judges:
Politicians have failed to lead country.
Corrupt judges once again sting nation.
- Role of Qazi Husain Ahmad and Jamaat e Islami:
In the meanwhile Saudi’s opened the doors of Jeddah prison and Nawaz Shariff was allowed to come back to Pakistan. Right before the arrival of Mian Nawaz Shariff, APDM decided to bye cot elections, they did not allowed Mian Nawaz Shariff to let organize PML N, on other side MMA divided on election issues. This all credit goes to Qazi Sahab for taking decisions without watching ground realities and not only depending on others without any power but also failing to achieve any results. Now fate of Jamat e Islami is very clear after leaving MMA. The action of Qazi Sahab will have long lasting impact on Jamat e Islami. Jamaat has thrown all cards from its hands. Whether you did not join dirty politics of the country or in the presence of Mush, where hand of US is on his back and Army Generals are still his hand picked political generals. Fazal ur Rahman group will also suffer badly and PPP and PPPS will gain majority of seats in elections.
It will facilitate Mush to become Hosni Mubarik.
It will make Jamat e Islami, another Eikhwan ul Muslimeen.
- Role of PPP and Benazir:
Benazir has her own agenda, corruption cases and safety of $1.5 billion, and her commitments with Anglo-Americans and as such under ground deals with Mush. It is not in her interest to think about peoples of Pakistan and resist dictator in any way. She will not let support any movement which could delay her agenda. First action to with draw PPP backed lawyers from the movement, then using poor PPP workers for increasing her bargaining powers and finally bye cot of her political rivals to contest election has opened ways for her to join Mush without wasting time in backing political movements.
- JUI (F) and ANP:
Fazal ur Rahman’s stand that if PPP will not bye cot elections, it will contest. More over ANP is also has same views. There is lot of room to differ with the politics of Fazal ur Rahman, but it is very clear that he understands politics of PPP. It is quiet wrong to withdraw all candidates from election, after filing nomination papers, there could be a lot of other chances to bye cot elections. Moreover there will be no person left behind to raise voice against genocide of Pakhtoon and Balouch citizens. Under the camouflage of war on terror blood of innocent peoples will be kept spilling.
- PML N – Mian Nawaz Shariff :
It is surprising that Mian Nawaz Shariff being an experienced politician, why working in so hurry. There were a lot of dissidents of PML Q which were going to join PML N, there is no organization with in PML N, and first wise step was to re-organize party, re-collect other politicians of his own party. Then next step was to take into confidence to all members of APDM, MMA was a major part of APDM which was cause of harassment to Benazir, but Mian Sahab broke its major component without re-organizing her own party. Present APDM will pay price for this mistake. Gowalmandi, Nisbat Road and Model Town are not entire Pakistan.
Who believes on rule of Law?
It is waste of time to again re-write long list of crimes committed by Army Generals against nation. Except two or three retired generals, not a single army officer (serving or retired) out of strength of 4 million retired and 1 million serving personals came forward to even verbally condemn barbaric actions of fascist rule.
Movement of restoration of justice is entirely based on sacrifices made by justices and lawyers, (a few journalists and victims in the hope of justice came forward). On other hand shameless role of political parties, enlightened moderates, and majority of media owners who in the last eight years left no chance to make money on the dead bodies of victimized citizens. JI and PTI joined lawyers movement but half heartedly. Now future scenario could be as under:
- Fake and corrupt Judges are behind Mush.
- Sycophant generals and army personals working on civil post are also behind him.
- Corrupt politicians who supported him in fake presidential elections are also on his back.
- There will be no opposition in province of Sindh after elections.
- There will be hardly 20% seats of opposition in Sarhad and Baluchistan.
- There will be fight between PML Q and PPP in Punjab; both parties are dying heart supporters of Mush.
- After election, there will be no opposition in parliament, Mush will success fully impose himself as Hosni Mubarik with the help of PPP, Benazir is status conscious and like her previous tenure, she will work dependent without any power.
- Neither APDM nor Lawyers have street power to oppose any constitutional amendments.
- A large number of groups joined movement of restoration of justice after Nov 03, when PCO and emergency was imposed. Human right groups, civil society, workers of political parties, and journalists were victimized and those were forced to join movement. Other wise some of those groups were in Mush camp. Iqbal Haider jumped to join care taker government is an example, what such people can talk about human rights, restoration of justice or constitution.
Restoration of law and justice is a sacred movement, explaining above scenario does not mean that long bloody struggle may set aside. As explained earlier restoration of Chief Justice is a death warrant for Mush, ISI and ministry of interior, there will be no lack ness on our part which are fighting and will fight till removal of Mush from politics, he is still fascist poisonous dictator, even after removal of uniform. But lawyers’ movement was a start point for politicians to take over movement and restore justice, constitution and stop brutalities committed on the name of war on terror.
Last ground to stop Mush is parliament or street protests. Lawyers are quiet right in appealing to bye cot elections, majority of peoples support them but any movement is hypothecated by politicians, as such all political benefits will have to be earned by politicians.
Conclusion:
In the light of above scenario where lawyers and civil society is asking for bye cot of elections, there statement of Fazal ur Rahman, also has lot of weight to be considered that bye cot elections only if PPP may do so. PPP is one of the most powerful parties being all leading feudal, industrialists and elite class in its fold, and in Pakistan only those candidates could win which have sufficient money in their pocket to run the campaign.
Among other powerful players most feudal and second degree industrialists are in the fold of PML Q, along with support of establishment.
In opposition PML N had enough feudal and industrialists, but latest status is unknown as Mian Nawaz Shariff did not take time to re-organize his party.
MQM is a local party with the support of establishment, where as JUI F and ANP are regional parties and all other parties are provincial level parties.
Jamat e Islami lost its backing of MMA and as such withdrawn from elections along with Imran Khan in its fold.
PPP has successfully sucked feudal and industrialists of PML N and Q (like girl friend of Shakuit Aziz, Hina Rabbani Khar and most ominous gang of Abida and Fakhar Imam).
Media is extra ordinary commercialized that those have self imposed curfew and are unable to broad cast news, restrictions on GEO wondered every one leaving a few journalists and columnists, policy of Jang-group is considered state policy. Najam Sethi group is already in the fold of PPP with its sectarian agenda.
Don’t let operate Benazir solo flight, otherwise contest elections, that is the right way to block dictator, implement rule of law, get rid of corrupt judges, and restore constitution. That is the only way to block fraud presidential election, remove fake judges and get rid of war on terror. Under the present circumstances only one beloved of neo-cons could rule over Pakistan, it is believed that there will be large
scale riggings during polls, and finally Benazir will came out of elections by not finding any way. Main hurdle in PPP’s policies is role of DG, FIA which has replaced traditional role of PPP with drawing room politics.
United opposition is necessity of time to expel Gorbachove or Hosni Mubarik from president house. If politicians will fail to reach any consensus, nation will lost faith for ever; fake judges have already played a hopeless character for a few benefits. Why politician did not look how disciplined and united is Pakistan Army for the sake of benefits, learn some lesson from them if you did not have any wisdom.
