ATTOCK: Metallurgical Training Centre (MTC) Director General Rear Admiral Tahir Waseem died here on Sunday in a road accident.

He and his family were on their way back home after attending the wedding ceremony of his niece.

Their vehicle turned turtle some nine kilometres from Attock after one of its tyres burst near Ghazi Brotha water stream. The injured were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) at Attock where Rear Admiral Tahir Waseem succumbed to his injuries.

His son, Asfar Hussain, was shifted to Rawalpindi CMH in critical condition. The funeral prayers of Rear Admiral Tahir Waseem would be offered at Eidgah, Attock at 2.30pm on Monday.
