Amnesty to Corrupt Politicians

Decision of government to drop pending corruption/criminal cases against public high profile personalities will not be in the interest of general public and country. This will cause colossal loss to concept of accountability/justice leading to imbalance in the society. This will also violate basic human right of citizens of being treated on equality basis before law courts.

The decision may help reaching deal on the basis of 'give and take' between government and accused political leaders but will never promote or develop reconciliation at national level. Tomorrow all under trail accused will ask their release under the principle of rule of consistency. If their demand is not met, it would be discrimination.

The decision will set a wrong precedence and our future leaders and their chums will feel free to loot public money through fair or unfair means with impunity. People responsible for taking decisions at national level are requested to reconsider this critical issue and dismiss such decision before it gets shape of ordinance or act. It would be a great favor to the country and nation.
