ATTOCK: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz Sunday said the ruling coalition will win the next general elections based on its good performance in the past. Addressing the union council nazmeen of district Attock at an Iftar Dinner at the PM House, the Prime Minister said his government has concentrated on providing electricity, clean drinking water, gas and roads network all over the country.
“We have ensured that these amenities are provided in every nook and corner of the country. And based on our development work, I am sure people will vote the ruling coalition into power,” he added.The Prime Minister ruled out any deal with any political party and said because of government’s better performance over the past eight years, it does not need to enter into any deal with any one.
“But we are always in contact with all the major parties inside and outside the parliament in the larger national interest,” he said.
He, however, added that there is a lot that needs to be done for the welfare of the masses including reduction in price hike and poverty and improvement of law and order.
He said re-election of President Musharraf was imperative for the continuation of national policies which has brought stability in the country.
Shaukat Aziz vowed that the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan will be safeguarded at every cost and said that no one can dare cast an evil eye on the country.
“Pakistan was achieved after great sacrifices and we will guard this country to the last drop of our blood,” he added.
He said the PML and its president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain wants to make the party reminiscent of the Quaid-e-Azam Muslim League which worked selflessly for the creation of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister announced that a Singaporean firm has made the plan for the new airport near Fateh Jang which will be the region’s most modern.
He lauded District Nazim Tahir Iqbal for the development work in Attock district and thanked the people in the constituency for electing him to the National Assembly and helping him in becoming the prime minister.
Tahir Iqbal in his address said that PML will win the next general elections with a thumping majority.
He said the PML has sincerely worked for the welfare of the masses and assured “deal or no deal, PML will win 100 percent from Attock.”
