"This latest order will mean that we have supplied power plants which produce more than 1,000MW of electricity to Pakistan. Our strong local presence and successful track record in Pakistan combined with efficiency and flexibility of our solution were amongst the reasons we were awarded this contract," said Christoph Vitzthum, group vice president of Wartsila power plants.

"This new power plant will enable smooth refinery operations as sale of heavy fuel will be ensuredWe also wanted the highest possible power plant efficiency during a lifetime cycle of 25 years, which we believe Wartsila's combined-cycle concept will be able to provide," added Adil Khattak, CEO of Attock Gen.
