The election petition seeking disqualification of Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan from the constituency of NA-53 has been fixed for hearing in Lahore on Wednesday 15th of August before an Election Tribunal headed by Mr. Justice Mian Hamid Farooq.
This election petition against the Federal Minister Khan was filed by his rival candidate Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik, Chairman of the Communist Party of Pakistan, who contested election against him in General Elections of 2002.
On this hearing, the Election Tribunal will examine the whole education records of Islamia University Bahawalpur and Punjab Board of Technical Education, Lahore pertaining to the education of Minister Khan. This record has been summoned by the Tribunal in its last hearing of 25th July 2007.
