PINDIGHEB: Increase of the fare by the public transport plying on different routes of Tehsil Pindi Gheb have irked commuters as they are charging extra fare from the commuters. The Pindi Gheb transporters running public transporters on different routes including Rawalpinidi, Lahore, Attock, Mathial, Kohat and other adjoining areas have increased the fare without any justification and notification.
Area Commuters told PPI that transporters are charging Rs.10 and 15 extra forms from them for few weeks. They said that they have also complained to the authorities concerned to check malpractices, but they don't care about the plight of the poor commuters. They said that unjust increase in fare on many routes led to quarrels between transporters and commuters. They alleged that concerned traffic authorities have no check on the transporters, as they are involved in traffic law violations. They have demanded to authority concerned to strictly check the different routes transporters fear list and strict action to take against violators.
