Attock transporters fleecing commuters by charging high fares
The transporters plying vehicles on different routes of District Attock are fleecing commuters by charging high fares and non-completion of their allotted routes. According to details, local commuters different areas of Attock including Fateh Jang, Bassal, Pandi Ghab, Hazreo, Batthar, Door Dad have expressed concern over the high fares of these routes and held that the area traffic police responsible for it. While talking to PPI correspondent here commuters complained that the overcharging on these routes have become routine matter but responsible concerned traffic authorities have no check on matter. A passenger said "we have lodged several complaints in the office of area traffic police for the redresser of their genuine problem, but no heed had been given towards the persistent problem so far. Scuffles among transporters and passengers became routine matters on the issue of high fares and if any body complain or protest against this they were not only abused but also ejected out of the van and left him in lurch he added.Commuters have demanded to the high officials of concerned traffic authority and area traffic police to take notice of the matters and solve it on permanent basis.
