Steps taken to check unemployment
JAND: The present government is taking concrete steps to check unemployment and make the youth skilled. This was stated by Manager Technical Training centre Jand Syed Ejaz Haider while talking to APP here at his office on Monday. He said that for the purpose, short term courses had been launched. The students are being provided with all facilities free of cost and are also given Rs. 500/- as stipend. He said that during the last three months 36 students had completed electrical and motor-winding courses and their result remained 100 %. He said that under the second phase of short courses, from January, electrical, welding and motor-winding courses would be started for which admissions are under progress. He said that efforts were being made to provide the students on job training. Syed Ejaz Haider said that with the collaboration of an NGO, a Deeni Madrassa technical training centre would be established at Makhad, where made and female students would be provided facility to undergo, electrical, welding, tailoring knitting, poultry farming and embroidery.
