| Shopkeepers shrug off price list |

FATEH JANG: The shopkeepers of Fateh Jang district have shrugged off the price list of the price control committee and sell commodities on high prices negating the directives of the district government. The price control committee provides price list to the shopkeepers on daily basis and the district coordination officer (DCO) also pay weekly visit to the bazaar imposing fine on the profiteers. But soon the shopkeepers raise the prices. The price control committee has failed to check profiteering and implement the directives of the district government. That is why brawls between customers and shopkeepers have become a matter of the day. The people have demanded of the district Nazim Maj Tahir Sadiq to take stern action against the profiteers and ensure provision of edibles on the prices fixed by the government.
