Attock people will support construction of Kalabagh Dam: District Nazim Tahir Sadiq
Attock District Nazim Tahir Sadiq assured the prime minister full support from the people for the construction of the Kalabagh dam.
Dispelling reports that Nowshera would submerge, he said that in fact 22 villages of Attock would come under water but the people were willing to sacrifice their ancestral lands in the best interests of the nation.
He said the people of Attock also had no objection to the construction of Akhori dam and pointed out that 46km of Ghazi Barotha dam was in Attock, while only 4km was in NWFP. The Prime Minister earlier visited the tent village located around 45 km southwest of Islamabad and houses around 2800 people.

It is shameful for Attockonians to have voted for a non-Attoky as their representative in the National Assembly, who as the P.M., has been responsible for delaying the mega-projects of Akhori Dam and Kalabagh Dam at the behest of MQM.
