Run for re-election from Attock: Aziz
FAEHJANG: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz announced that he would again contest the election from his previous constituency, NA-49, Attock.
Addressing a public meeting after opening gas supply to the Katbal Hattar area of Fatehjang tehsil near Islamabad, Aziz reiterated that the next general elections would be free, fair and transparent, and anyone could monitor the electoral process. He said the government was committed to making Pakistan a strong, vibrant and developed country. He said that no one could halt development in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan’s defence was invincible and no one could cast an evil eye on it.
He said that work on a new international airport in Fatehjang was underway and added that locals would be employed at the airport on priority.
Aziz said the Fatehjang hospital would be upgraded and given new machinery. A water filtration plant would be installed at Fatehjang to provide safe drinking water to locals. New model villages would be set up in Attock district and solar energy would be used to generate electricity for the area. agencies
