ATTOCK: Several wheat flour smuggling bids were foiled by the monitoring teams and some 886 bags of Atta was seized in separate raids conducted at Mullah Mansoor and Burhan Food Check Posts.
The district monitoring officer Attock Shahid Farooq said on Sunday that 600 bags of 50 kg each were seized on early morning during the checking of three trucks at Mullah Mansoor check post on main G.T. road of Attock Khurd Police Station besides recovery of
36 bags Atta of 20 kg each from a car at the same point.
250 wheat flour bags
of 20 kg each were also recovered on Saturday night during the checking
of six cars at Burhan check post on Islamabad-Peshawar motorway of
Hasanabdal Saddar Police station, he maintained.
The commodity and
vehicles have been handed over the respective police stations for
further legal proceeding. Separate cases have also been registered
against the accused drivers.
