Mr. Alvi sir, The Himalayas are made of soft sedimentary rocks and so is the Sierreas in California. A lot of gold was discovered in California and none in the Himilayas of Pakistan. Is it because the British had no history of gold mining in that region, so we never explored that option? The subcontinent was known as the "golden bird", so where did all that gold come from ? Was it just picked out of the river beds? Let us define the regions of ore deposit (copper and iron) and thermal gysers and start looking for gold !!!!...Bhatti
