ATTOCK: The Educators working on contract in different schools of Attock have demanded raise in their salaries and regularisation of their service. They demanded this in a meeting of the educators held in Attock. The meeting was attended by male and female educators of the district. They demanded that 15% raise in salaries and teaching allowances be paid to them and their services must be regularised. They demanded that govt to ensure basic rights of the teachers.
ATTOCK: By restoring Mr Chief Justice Itikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, Supreme Court has announced the freedom of Judiciary and now people are seeing a way of hope. This was stated by President DBA Rana Afsar Ali Khan which addressing bars members on "Thanks Giving Day". On the ocassion Advocate Sheikh Ahsan-ud-Din, Advocate Sheikh Waqar Azeem, Irfan-ullah Malik, General Secretary Bar Syed Tahir Bokhari, Advocate Shah Nawaz were also present. Rana Afsar Ali said that this movement was the Pakistan Movement, and would remain continue till the resination of President General Pervez Musharraf and return of army to barracks. The other advocates in their addresses said that the success of movement of the advocates was the symbol of the unity of the lawyers. They saidthat advocate had won the battle of the freedom of judiciary. By giving historic verdict Supreme Court has saved Pakistan from disintegration and they paid rich tributes to the judges of the Supreme Court. The members of the bar also paid rich tributes to media and specially journalists of Attock for giving coverage to the lawyers movement.
HASSAN ABDAL: The notables of Hassan Abdal have called for the strict action against the land mafia who have occupied on the land of graveyard and started illegal construction. The president of the Social Welfare Organization Asad Iqbal, Khateeb Markazi Jamia, Qari Abdul-ur-Rehman, President Anjuman-e-Tajaran, Chaudhry Jamshid Akhtar and other social figure Malik Amir expressed these views in a joint press conference here the other day. They blamed that the authorities of the revenue department are also involved with the land mafia and always expresses their ignorance over the records to support them. President of the Social Welfare Organization Asad Iqbal said that the illegal construction over the land of graveyard is still continuing and we have also filed case in the court in this regard. The court while taking immediate action on the petition has appointed a Commission. But, Naib Tehsildar, Amir Zaman and the Chief Collector of the Revenue department, Sarwar has prepared a survey report by sitting in the same office. It was said in the report that record avail is not sufficient.
HAZRO: Unidentified miscreants have hurled life threat to the headmaster and other staff of government boys primary school Taja Baja. Headmaster of the school, Muhammad Arshad while filing FIR in police station Rango said that unidentified men through a letter had given him life threat and also warned damaging the school building. The English teachers association district Attock has lambasted the coward act and demanded immediate arrest of the accused. The teachers in a resolution have demanded of the district government to provide them security and arrest the miscreants creating unrest in the teachers community. They said in such situation, they would be unable to come to the school and continue teaching.
FATEH JANG: The video centers playing pornographic video clips in the city are spreading vulgarity among the students. It has been observed that video centers have turned into mini-cinema houses playing immoral movies day and night destroying the moral character of youth especially school going children. The students instead of going to their educational institutions enter the video centre and remain there for hours while their parents are oblivious of their activities. This practice is not only causing wastage of their precious time but also loss of their character. It is a matter of grave concern for the authorities concerned and Tehsil Nazim Fateh Jang. The authorities concerned may take in time action against the menace for the sake of the future of students.
