Where do the kazis originate from? 1 Year, 3 Months ago
I am wondering where the kazi/qazi caste originates from? What is their background? What area do they originate from?

They live in gondal and basia in attock? Are they are reputable caste or not?

Any information on these people will be helpful. thanks

Kazees of Gondal and Baasia (ABBASIA may be the original name of village) are from different clans. Kazees of Gondal and Jatial are closely related and belong to famous KHATTAR clan who came with Muhammad Tughlaq from Khurrasan. They adopted the title of Kazi or Qazi after their ancestor Qazi Ali Qadar who was an appointee of king of Hindostan (Dheli).

I may add here that the name of king Muhammad Tughlaq may please be corrected to me Muhammad Ghauri.
Moreover Kazees of Baasia are cosidered as noble and nice people in the district.
