Hi again Zana,
Thanx for all the info. Yes you are probably right it could well be my computer settings. Anyway, Zana I will write to Isa Khan, but do you think it might be better if I could meet you, your mum and dad and of course, Maqsoom.
I am not happy to give too much personal info like this but I can confirm that my father had four other children from our useless irish step-mother (I'll tell you all about that sometime!) and they are called Umber Sadique (Now called Patrick, he a Jehovas Witness and lives in Holland, then theres Sadiqia (don't where she is) then John and finally Lisa (lives in Stourbridge). It is a very long story, but interesting enough I suppose.
As your parents may already know, my dad died in 1997 and before he died he asked all his children. individually if we wanted to inherit his land in Pakistan afetr his death. Me Aly and Hassan Zetoon, Fatima, Khadeja and Ameina all said that we would prefer if he left it all to his direct relations in Adalzai. Finally, John did agree to accept the land.
However, ever since my dad died Mirwas Khan (from Caernarfon, Wales) has approached me time and time again telling that John wants to sell the land and has been telling people in Pakistan that he is the only son etc, etc. The last time Mirwas Khan came to see me was last year sometime and I felt that he was trying a little too hard to be friendly. I would like to to talk to you all about this because it might be important for the family in Adalzai. Please call me on my mobile (07780 62 92 47) and I'll explain but just in case, the wrong person rings please first answer this question first : what road did Yaqub Khan live on in Birmingham? Hope I don't sound too James Bondish about all this , but give me a call please Zana and of course, thanx. Hussein.
PS. I am going to see my sisters in the Midlands this weekend - It would be very nice to meet you and your family as I think there are things to discuss. Anyway, let me know please Zana.

Hello Hussein,
How are you? I hope all is well.
I've spoken to my mum and dad about this and they've tried to explain the ins and outs of this to me, it seems as though a very delicate matter. I hate all this land stuff :o)
As far as i know John tried to sell the land but it didn't get sold because Isa Khan has told the judge that John is not the only son, so basically signatures are required from the other siblings before John (who I'm told is also known as Jaan Khan) can proceed with the selling of the land.
I don't want to give my number online as this is a public domain but you are welcome to call me on the landline and speak to my father, Aslam Khan or speak to myself. Please email me on
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
or send me your personal email address.
We live in London and not in the Midlands and you are always welcome to our home. Your cousin who is Isa Khan's daughter is Maqsoom and she is Zamurad Khan's daughter in law and lives in Birmingham. I will ask my cousin if it is ok to give out Maqsoom's details.
I hope this all helps you?
Stay in touch!
Zana
p.s. No idea where Yakub Khan lived, will ask my dad when he's home and get back to you on that one. But most of our time was spent in the Sparkbrook/Small Heath area as children.

Hi again Zana,
I hate all this land stuff as well. The way most of us look at it is simply that we do not want or need it and would prefer if our rights to it (if indeed we have any) are transferred directly to Isa Khan. The problem is now as I see it is now this is in the public domain we have to be careful what we can discuss. If anybody calls me about this on the number I provided I will simply refuse to talk to them. However, it would very helpful if you or your parents would be kind enough to relay to Isa Khan that if the judge ever wants any proof of the existence of the other siblings, I will make the necessary arrangements. We will never provide John with any of our signatures and he knows that although I did send him a letter about the approach from Mirwas Khan but I never receied a reply. I will try and contact you via your email address. Other than that I will bid you farewell for the moment. Keep in contact but we'd better watch what we say from now. Hope to speak to you and your family soon and maybe we could arrange to meet up in London in the New Year. What do you think?
I am very grateful for your prompt and helpful attention. Take Care and give my love and respect to your parents. Hussein.

No worries at all Hussein.
My dad has also advised me against writing to much as this is a public domain and there are 3rd parties that would be very interested in this matter for perhaps the wrong reasons.
Dad says that there are 3 brothers, ISA Khan is only one of the three.
You have my email address, and i'm happy to give you my home phone number once you write to me through email, i don't know if you know any Hindko or Urdu, but either way my dad would be happy to speak to you and a meeting in London at our home can certainly be arranged.
I can understand your position and it must be hard for you in who to trust and who to believe. Just keep the faith I guess.
All the best and I hope you get the answers you are looking for.
Zana
